Kneill Brown moves to Woody’s Tattoo Studio

Kneill Brown, formerly of Paradise Tattoo, is now working from Woody’s Tattoo Studio in High Wycombe. Kneill has been my favourite tattoo artist for over 10 years, and is responsible for many of mine. I am unsure of the reasons behind the move, but I wish him the best of luck.

Luckily Woody’s is only 2 minutes away from Paradise, so I am sure I will still be seeing him for future work.

Kneill is operating under the name Lucky 13 Tattoo and has a Facebook group as well as a Myspace page. You can see examples of his new school style on Facebook.

Before and After Touchup

These are the before and after shots of my Kirituhi tattoo on my forearm. Kneill from Paradise Tattoo did a fantastic job of sorting it out for me. I needed the touchup due to a couple of reasons. Firstly there was a problem during the inking, I don’t think the kit was on the right setting for some of it. Secondly I left my new tattoo out in the sun for way too long before it healed. This made it fade quickly, which was very noticable. You would think after 8 tattoo’s I would have known how to look after them… I do now!

More Kirituhi Tattoo Design Ideas

Its been a year since I first posted about searching for Kirituhi (Maori inspired skin art) Tattoo designs, since then I have had my lower left arm sleeve tattoo’d and more recently touched up to correct a few problems. My blog has received so many new visitors, mainly people looking for Kirituhi tattoo designs on Google. It seems it is a very popular style of tattoo, and for some reason my site, or mainly my first post, rates well in Google and other image search engines.

more maori inspired tattoo designsI always keep my eyes open for designs that inspire me, as I want to continue my Kirituhi design up my arm and onto my shoulder and chest. In my search I found a blog with the image to the left: http://andymatic.vox.com/library/photo/6a00c225203d4b8fdb00f48ce85e790003.html

What I really like about it is the way it spirals up into the shoulder, this is what I would like with mine. My only problem is that I currently have an Ohm tattoo on my chest, and a tribal tattoo on my shoulder that I really like. I am going to have a chat with Tony Unwin, the tattooist who did my Kirituhi sleeve, and see if he can come up with a design for me.

In the mean time I will keep looking, and keep getting inspired. If anyone fancies leaving links to other sites that feature some great inspiring Kirituhi tattoo designs, please do!
