On Sunday we decided to sell some unwanted stuff at Big Bens Carboot sale in West Wycombe. It was a very busy afternoon, many sellers eager to get rid of stuff. I was impressed with the number of people there very early, and even more so at the people getting in early to look at what you have before the main gates open to the public.
It was a very hot day, and we made a fair bit of cash, but came home with lots of stuff that didn’t sell. It seems that whilst there were lots of people there, they just weren’t as willing to seperate with their cash. You normally see empty stalls by the end of the day, but most had loads left. A sign of the current financial situation maybe?
Still, we came home with what we wanted, and will be giving stuff away to charity shops in the next couple of weeks.
