Kirituhi Tattoo at the Great British Tattoo Show

This years Great British Tattoo Show, held at Olympia, London on the 21st and 22nd of April 2012 looks set to be amazing. I will be going along but won’t be getting any work done due to financial commitments, but that doesn’t mean you can’t!

Tony Unwin from Kirituhi Tattoo will be there and available for work. Tony is the UK’s only dedicated maori, polynesian, samoan and hawiian tattau artist. He did my forearm sleeve and one day will complete my arm.

New Tattoo Design – Skull Scribble by [Rich]

A couple of years ago when I met Tony from Kirituhi Tattoos to get my first Kirituhi Tattoo, I met Rich from UmeToys. He was learning from Tony, as he wanted to do tattoos as well.

Rich is a very talented illustrator, you can see his work on his Flikr account. Several of his scribbles took my fancy, they were a totally unique idea and I thought the style would make a great tattoo. I asked Rich to create me a design that included cats and were in the outline of a skull (Skulls being one of Rich’s favourite, check out his Skull-A-Day set)

This is the design he came up for me, its really great, tottally unique, and not like anything else I have already tattoo’d on me. Its plain black, no shading, so will fit in with the others. I am really happy with the design, and can’t wait to get it inked.

“To thine own self be true” – Loo’s new tattoo

This is the new tattoo my wife Louise got done recently, its a quote from Shakespeare’s Hamlet “To thine own self be true”. Its on her left foot, and was done by Eve from Eve Tattoo in Marlow.

Its very well done, she was looked after really well by Eve, made to feel at home. I have a feeling she will be going back there again!
