Hello
Party People!!!! *:0)
We at UMR created a monster of an event. You
added to the beauty and love of it, by your patience in the queue, your love for
each other and your kind words since, and for that we thank you!
There
are many people who helped create PLUR, and a thanks as big as the one you are
about to recieve is well and truely deserved.
Firstly to the people of
the UMR-Party List, who jointly flyered, stickered and generally promoted this
event to the ends of the earth:
Alex Buell - For his advice on the
night name and stickering and buying a ticket! "Look out for a four-eyed dork
with a dodgy haircut and a UMR T-shirt!"
Tuna - For stickers and flyering
Andy Harkin from Sleepless -"I forgot, most people aren't as tolerant as
I am." So thanks for being tolerant!
Andy P - Thanks for sorting the
upfront Drome cash, and for forwarding on mails when it went wrong.
Barclay
Lane - For the Psy-Trance Room,
Bart - For his continued efforts
with flyering, no one does it like he does.
Been Pole - For his car!
Richard (binbag) - For the smiles and the cybercafe.
Wendy - For
your turn on the door, and sorting out the ticket monies.
johnny void from
Chimera - (D+B) For dropping his room and his rig and Ohhhhhh you're more
than just a god.
Sideshow Blim better know as Dan from Junction 10 -
(D+B) For the Drum and Bass room
Mike - (Emjay) - Just for coming.
Oh and keeping me happy. :)
Ian Betts from Sleepless - for the Trance
Room
Jenny Deal - For managing the UMR party account, by all means
a tough job, well handled by one soo small. ;)
John Lea from Banaczech
- for the cybercafe
Julz Angell - for the chill out area, musically
and decor wise it was sorted!
DJ Sublim - for techno and stuff.
Lynda - for coming and flyering
Nick Leverton - for just doing
it.
Mark Willing from DED - for his amazing set and contributions on
the list (some of which were quite class)
Mr Matt Wilson from places too
numerous to mention - for the Trance room, the flyer design, the balls to
speak yer mind and for being a top bloke. RESPECT!
Chris Williamson - For
stepping in when it all got a bit too much, and for listening to me when I told
you to shut up. ;)
Niall Niall Orange Peel - For the amazing Hard
House room, and a more than god like set. Next time I'll play back to back with
you, you chicken!
Ronan Flood - for bigging it up.
Lesley -
For flyering, etc...
Rupes - for your efforts love, you really
didn't have to, and you were very muched missed.
Steve Hoare - For
the web site and the tickets
Steven - For the cyber cafe and the net
cast, even if it didn't happen.
Susan Humphrey - For the door rostas,
the rig in the Trance room and for posting this gem about Stelvio. "I don't fuckin'
play techno and I don't fuckin' like techno." :) Made me laugh. Thanks Stelvio.
Andre Bolle - Just for being you!!!!!
Tim Seddon (Sleepless) - for
the Trance Room and offering free entry to his club (again!)
Toni Breakz
- better known as the great Hedgehog! What a set! What a guy!
Tristan
White - For his shirt, and his work in the cybercafe and organising the meetings
rostas.
*Ting* from Poleshift - For bouncing around the queue giving
out party poppers, and for her set, for being event manager, for sorting out the
passes, and for being the fittest bird around. Dare you to say otherwise!... *;0)
Then of course there are the 200 or so people who put the party together
on the night itself. Each room was a journey into that part of wonderland and
no red pill on this earth could recreate the emotions and feelings that you got
when you walked into each and every arch way in the Drome that night. Even the
gods were pleased, you could tell, they were the ones having it large. Oh yeah
that's all of us isn't it!!! *vbg*
More thanks go out to Amin,
who put together and held it together there in the chill out room, lost we were,
found us did Amin. Mmm yes. Arranged the tea he did, yes..... :) Good call, them
stalls. To the stall holders themselves and that lovely guy who gave me free tea
at the end. :)
To the collective of dancers - Zoe, Debbie, Claire, Sarah,
etc.. To the stilt walkers, puppeteers, dj's, artists, and bands. to the decor
stars - Mashed Up, Aura Orange, Inna?State etc... my god
did it look good., to the Sound system crews - Chimera, Undertow,
Junction 10, etc.., + Chad, what a fucking noise you created in
HH. Geeez! :) Big thanks though to Johnny Void, who let the HH room be
what it was meant to be and not letting his own pride get in the way.. what a
lad!!
To the Drome crew and security staff who although made us wait
and tried to rip us off, at the end of the day, it still all happened and that's
the second time it has for me at the Drome and you gotta admit, the venue is wicked!
To Databac for providing the crew passes, which everyone will
be keeping. To Julz especially for the very large quantity of soft furnishings,
and fluro shite in the chillout room.
To the boys who created the cybercafe
- Richard, Andy, Steven, John, Chris, Tristan, Andre, etc.. I'm still impressed
that that ever got off the ground, and you really made it happen through one tiny
56k modem. Hats off!
Very Special thanks to those that still worked for
a portion of the night even though they had bought tickets!!! Caz, Steve, Judith,
Steve Evans,, + countless others, you really didn't have to, but we're bloody
glad you did! To the clean up crew, the rig up crew, To Phil J and all
the others that may have dared to do/be something different. To the Sportal crew
for buying nearly 80 tickets alone!
To all the rest of the rigs, crews,
single enterties and energies that I may have missed. I'm sorry if I did, but
please be assured that we are truely grateful to you all. BIG HUGS AND KISSES!!!
And lastly to my mum and dad, and everyone elses parents for accepting us
for who we are and who we want to be and to 1988 when it all kicked off, I can
only hope that this new bread of internet ravers can help to co-create 10,000
person raves (and the rest) which will surpase those of the good ol' days.
BRING IT ON!!!!!!
Looking forward to seeing you at the next one,
'aving it, 'aving it, 'aving it, LARGE!!! Yes Mate!
Love and Light
