Smokin Ace TattooKneill Brown aka Kneill X, after 20 years of working in various tattoo studios including Woody’s Tattoo and Paradise Tattoo, has opened a new studio in Croxley Green.

The studio which is half way between Rickmansworth and Watford on the A412 has been plushly decorated in a victorian style designed by Kneill himself. The address is:

195 Watford Road

I have always been a big fan of Kneill so will be popping in soon to see his new studio and to get some more ink done. I will post some photos as soon as I can.

Wanted: 1 x Genexxa GX-400 Speaker

Many years ago I worked for Tandy in High Wycombe. Somehow I ended up buying a speaker that didn’t have a partner. Its been in my possession ever since. Its a great sounding speaker, and I have always wanted to find its partner, another GX-400.

I always hoped that one day the internet would provide me with one, but sadly after all these years I can’t find one, not even a photo of one, hence why I have decided to post a photo of mine.

The speaker isn’t big, its a mere 40w at  6 ohms, but its a great speaker for the living room.

Most of its life has been spent as a centre speaker in a surround sound system, but since the amp died its been sat gathering dust in the corner. If you have one, or more likely 2, and no longer want them, please get in touch and lets talk.

Phatdrop Weekender – A With The DJ Blog Post

Bump, one of the great DJs from the Phatdrop Weekender, has just posted a blog post about small festivals. Its a really good read, check it out: http://www.havingalaughpromotions.com/wordpress/631/future-of-festivals/

Official Photo from my London to Brighton Bike Ride

Finally the official photographers from the London to Brighton bike ride were able to identify me, and I was able to purchase this fine photo of me.

I think it was taken around the half way mark, so I was pretty tired, just about to get my second wind from the burger I had just eaten.

Phatdrop Weekender 2011

The weekend of July 1st saw the first Phatdrop Weekender take place outside of Frome, Somerset. Its the same people who put on the Festival Weather parties, just with a different name.

I was involved last year in helping with the lighting, but due to transport issues (I only had access to my wifes Ford Ka) I couldn’t bring many lights with me.

This year I hired a van and brought all my lights. These were supplmented with 2 x Robe ColorSpot 700AT’s and 2 x GLP Volkslicht. I was really impressed with the Volkslicht, they were small but very bright. The output from the LEDs were impressive for such  small moving head, and the speed was great too.

You can see more photos of the event on my Facebook Page.
