DJ Numatic added to line-up

Rich, aka Rich T Bizkit, aka DJ Numatic, is now confirmed to play at Magic’s 10th Birthday on the 24th July.

Rich has been resident for Magic since the very first party, so it seems fitting that he should also be playing at the 10th Birthday celebrations. He will be playing acid techno.

Evie is safe to go on her balcony

We have made our ground floor balcony safer for Evie, so that she can go out under supervision without the risk of her running off out of our reach. We have put netting around it, mainly to stop the other cats from coming on and marking it. She can now make it her own and sit out in the sun with us.

Bank Holiday Weekend Carboot Sale

On Sunday we decided to sell some unwanted stuff at Big Bens Carboot sale in West Wycombe. It was a very busy afternoon, many sellers eager to get rid of stuff. I was impressed with the number of people there very early, and even more so at the people getting in early to look at what you have before the main gates open to the public.

It was a very hot day, and we made a fair bit of cash, but came home with lots of stuff that didn’t sell. It seems that whilst there were lots of people there, they just weren’t as willing to seperate with their cash. You normally see empty stalls by the end of the day, but most had loads left. A sign of the current financial situation maybe?

Still, we came home with what we wanted, and will be giving stuff away to charity shops in the next couple of weeks.

Kirituhi Tattoo

I have been looking for inspiration for a new tattoo, and after deciding where I wanted it, I took to the internet looking for some ideas.

In my search I found some interesting thoughts about Maori designs, and learnt that to avoid offending the Maori people, having tattoo’s that do not use traditional symbols is the way forward. The Maori people have a style of tattoo called Kirituhi, which basically means Skin Art. Its a style that is commonly accepted for non Maori people to have without causing offence.

There are still some people on the internet that believe only the Maori can adorn their body with Kirituhi designs, but there are many more that believe its ok in todays world.

Kirituhi DesignI found this site http://otautahitattoo.com/gallery/maori-pacific-tattoos to have some amazing designs. To the left is an example from the site that I like. Its the little curves at the end that I like, as I haven’t seen anything like it before.

So now that I have found the style I need to find someone who can design the tattoo for me. So after some more searching I found a chap in the UK called Tony who does designs for people over the internet. You can also get him to do the tattoo. He seems very capable, and has a website showing off his work: http://www.kirituhitattoo.com/

I am going to have a chat with Tony and see what he can do for me. I would love to meet up with him so that he can get to know me and design something very personal.

I am still open to other designs, and will also be speaking with Kneill and Si, my usual tattoo artists.
